DAY 1 Arrival to MEXICO CITY. Welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel. Free time for relax or first walks around the hotel area.
DAY 2. Breakfast. MEXICO CITY Tour : The Zocalo with its Metropolitan Cathedral and National Palace. The next attraction is TEOTIHUACAN – capital of the most powerful ancient empire in Latin America – where we climb Pyramid of the Sun (third highest in the world) and Pyramid of the Moon. On the way back to the hotel in Mexico City we stop to visit BASILICA of GUADALUPE at the foot of the Tepeyac Hill.
DAY 3. Breakfast. Departure to PUEBLA. On the way two most famous volcanos of Mexico: Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl. Puebla –„City of Angels” is famous for its colonial architecture, churches and local cuisine. After visiting Santo Domingo Church we hit the road to OAXACA (UNESCO). Afternoon city tour with visit to the historical center of Oaxaca.
DAY 4. Breakfast. After Oaxaca We will follow the road to the next attraction from the list of UNESCO – MONTE ALBAN the city contains the ball games field, the observatory, etc. We visit this ancient capital of Zapotec population and next we go to TEHUANTEPEC. On the way stop for photos of TULE – the widest tree in the world. Overnight in Tehuantepec.
DAY 5. After breakfast we continue to Sumidero Canyon in Chiapas , where we start the visit by boats down the river. Picturesque mountains of Sierra, that reach 1000 mts of attitude on the river’s level will stay with us during all tour. After that we start climbing the widing road to SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS, a splendid example of a colonial small city located in the Valley of Jovel, where the time stopped. A night visit through the cobblestone streets of this beautiful city is really relaxing. Overnight San Cristobal.
DAY 6. Breakfast San Cristobal and visit to a indigenous village SAN JUAN CHAMULA, where we shall become whitnesses of religious half catholic half indian traditions and inhabits. It is really an astonishing experience. After we go straight to marvellous two waterfalls, famous by its beauty AGUA AZUL and MISOL-HA. Walking up top the waterfalls, time for pictures and , for those who desire, swimming that is allowed within protected areas. Then road from the mountains to the wet and tropical climate of PALENQUE. Overnight
DAY 7. Breakfast. You will visiting impressive ruin complex of PALENQUE – one of the most powerful ancient Mayan cities, This breathtaking place where an amazing architecture combines with the beauty of tropical jungle , contains the portraits of the priests and of the emperor Pakal II, as well as a dynasty chronicle, the temple of the Sun and the Cross, etc. Our next attraction is colonial city of CAMPECHE (UNESCO). We walk down the colorful streets of this coastal city admiring its bastions.
DAY 8. Breakfast in the hotel and after CAMPECHE walking tour, we follow La Ruta Chenes to archeological sites of Kabah and Uxmal. In KABAH we climb Codz Poop Palace with a beautiful facade covered with portraits of Chac – God of the Rain. UXMAL situated among Puuc hills, is one of the most beautiful ruin complexes from the ancient Maya period. We admire impressive pyramid of Temple of The Wizard among other great structures. Transfer to a hotel in MERIDA.
DAY 09. After breakfast we will do a MERIDA city tour. In the capital of the Yucatán State we visit main square Plaza Grande with its Cathedral and Municipal Palaces. Next we hit the road towards Cancun, with one stop on the way – CHICHEN ITZA (One ot the The New Seven Wonders !! ) . This is the most famous archaeological zone in Mexico, always full of tourists from all over the world. We will be able to admire the famous pyramid El Castillo that is also an astrological Mayan calendar and the Sacred Cenote.
